Cattle[edit]

Cattle are a category of creature added in the Paws and Claws update. Cattle only respawn by creating baby cattle and can be attacked by enemies. They can be moved by the player either by pulling them with a Leash or capturing them in a single-use Cattle Transport Box, both craftable at the Livestock Workbench. Cattle will eat food from the ground, so fencing them off from farms is recommended, or from a Feeding Tray crafted at the Livestock Workbench. Consuming food will cause them to produce items over time. They can be named by interacting with them.

Moolins are found in the Meadow Biome and produce Meadow Milk when fed plants.

Bambucks are found in the Meadow Biome and produce Wool when fed plants.

Strolly Polies are found in Forgotten Ruins and Desert of Beginnings and produce Strolly Poly Plate when fed insects.

Kelpie are found in The Sunken Sea and produce Kelp Dumpling when fed kelp.

Dodo are found in Azeos' Wilderness and produce Dodo Egg when fed insects.

Drohmble are found in The Desert of Beginnings and produce Blasting Dung when fed plants.

Critters[edit]

Critter or bugs are small creatures wandering the world aimlessly. They can't harm the player, and some of them could die if stepped on. They can be caught with a Bug Net and serve as collectible items put on display. Many can also be used as food for some cattle or as bait in a Fishing Net.

Caught critters placed back into the world should never despawn, unlike those that were natural spawned. Glowbugs can be used as a light source without taking up space, but they can still move around and die in a single hit if attacked.

Leafhopper	Azeos' Wilderness	A very nervous little fellow. The faintest hint of danger makes it jump away into safety.
Moon Pincher	The Sunken Sea	This blue-purple crustacean always has its claws raised which gives it a seemingly happy expression.
Sun Pincher	The Sunken Sea	This red-yellow crustacean always has its claws raised which gives it a seemingly happy expression.
Little Death	The Desert of Beginnings	This small scorpion is harmless to humans but can easily kill smaller creatures if it needs food.
Manyleg	The Desert of Beginnings	This desert critter has an unknown amount of legs. It would simply take too long to count them.
Gem Snail	The Shimmering Frontier	A small snail that slowly works its way through the dangers of the Shimmering Frontier.
Shadow Newt	The Shimmering Frontier	A dark fellow with seemingly unseeing eyes. But they stare deep into your soul.
Sniffling	Breaker's Reach	This skittish little rodent scurries around for hardened crumbs left in debris.
Void Larvlet	Breaker's Reach	A tiny void larva that doesn't harm you but likes to be collected and held in a warm hand.
Yellow Glowbug	The Undergrounds The Clay Caves The Desert of Beginnings	This flying bug always appears in swarms which appear as dancing lights. Its yellow glow is biome-specific.
Blue Glowbug	The Forgotten Ruins	This flying bug always appears in swarms which appear as dancing lights. Its blue glow is biome-specific.
Green Glowbug	The Sunken Sea	This flying bug always appears in swarms which appear as dancing lights. Its green glow is biome-specific.
Red Glowbug	Azeos' Wilderness	This flying bug always appears in swarms which appear as dancing lights. Its red glow is biome-specific.
Purple Glowbug	Breaker's Reach	This flying bug always appears in swarms which appear as dancing lights. Its purple glow is biome-specific.
Dusk Fairy	Azeos' Wilderness	A tiny butterfly with very delicate wings. Catching it without harming them requires a lot of caution.
Dream Messenger	Azeos' Wilderness	Said to be a bringer of good dreams this butterfly is always seen among sleeping creatures.
Citrus Pinion	Mold Biome	An erraticly fluttering butterfly that has bright colors irritating to the naked eye.
Ice Wind	The Sunken Sea The Desert of Beginnings	This blue butterfly flaps its wings so fast that it creates cold air streams.
Crimson Wing	Azeos' Wilderness Mold Biome The Sunken Sea	A small butterfly with deep red wings that seeks the company of other critters.
Snoot Fly	The Shimmering Frontier	Frantically flying around, this little mosquito pokes at other lifeforms for a potential drop of blood.
Drape Ray	The Passage	This luminous dweller drifts through the air like a calm breath, even in the most impetuous areas.
